Built on Heritage. Driven by Process.
Some kids grew up watching cartoons. I grew up watching my dad pull a 1913 Reo touring car out of a barn and get it running again.
That moment lit a fire in me that never went out.
From helping rebuild the engine in a 1929 Packard to restoring the chassis of a 1948 Ford truck, I spent my early years shoulder-to-shoulder with my father in the garage. By 15, I had my first car—a 1955 Buick Special—which I drove daily through college and still own today.
Since then, I’ve restored everything from a 1970 VW Beetle (nut and bolt) to an East German Trabant, from a brass-era Hupmobile to Karmann Ghias, Scouts, Fiats, and Franklins. What started as a lifelong passion became a calling—and in 2024, I made the leap to do this full time.
That’s how Halsey Hill Restorations was born: not as a hobby shop, but as a business grounded in craftsmanship, process, and respect for the stories these cars carry.
A Different Kind of Restoration Shop
This industry has a problem: too many projects run over budget, over schedule, and out of communication.
I built Halsey Hill to fix that—by combining a love for old iron with real business discipline. Before restoration, I spent years running an operationally complex company. The core principles that worked there now shape everything we do here.
We follow structured Business Process Management, which means every restoration is broken into defined steps, tracked, and followed consistently. We apply Project Management discipline to control timelines and coordinate phases. And above all, we lead with radical transparency—so you’re never in the dark about what’s happening with your car.
Our Philosophy
We specialize in full restorations of vintage automobiles—from prewar classics to mid-century icons. Our goal isn’t just to restore what’s visible, but to respect what’s meaningful.
Whether you’re bringing in your first car, a family heirloom, or a bucket-list dream, we treat each vehicle with the care we’d give our own.
We’re not here to do everything. We’re here to do exceptional work, built on repeatable systems, clear expectations, and a deep reverence for the machines we’re trusted to rebuild.
